After just under a year, here’s my post-apocalyptic passion project - “Give”.

It was an adventure in filmmaking from start to finish - we set out to the remote “Bizansgat”, a few hours north-east of Cape Town, South Africa, with no lights, electricity or phone reception.

Fast forward a year, and here it is! Fresh from being an Official Selection at Shorts in Paradise Film Festival (SIPFest) 2014; I’m proud to finally release it.

Please take a look, leave a comment or even a like, and let me know what you think!

A selection stills from the Lotus Only Track Day shot at Wakefield Park, Goulburn, NSW.

On a recent trip to South Africa, I got to spend some time with the new Isuzu D-Max Ute and an old school 320i Beemer.

What would you do if you were the last man on earth? “This Time Around” is a new music video for an up and coming South African band based in Durbanville, near Cape Town. It explores the idea of what one would do if there was no one left - no one to communicate with or pass time with, no human interaction whatsoever… It follows our protagonist on his journey searching for relics of the past, trying to find meaning in his everyday routine. Tomorrow he’ll wake up and do the same thing…

Shot on the Sony NEX-FS700 & Canon 24-105mm f4 IS L, this production was undertaken with a minimal budget over a period of two days in the middle of nowhere - the Karoo.

Crew: David Enright, Albert Le Roux, Renier van Jaarsveld, and our hobo, Naude Van Zyl.
